2009 is here. The New Year's resolutions are in. And the majority of people are aiming to lose weight. Gyms all around the world are about to see an increase in their membership. If you're considering joining one of your local gym's, then I advise you not to! That's right, I'm telling you not to join a gym. Am I crazy? Not exactly.

These days you don't have to join a gym to lose weight. You don't even have to do extreme exercise workouts. What most people don't get is that doing regular exercise and sit ups on a daily basis won't get rid of your body fat effectively. Sure you'll build a lot of muscle. But if your only goal is to lose weight then put yourself on a decent diet. It's as simple as that. You have to understand that the average person is actually quite active, this includes you. So eating the right foods and doing what you normally do on a daily basis is the recipe for weight loss success.

So how can you find the right diet? It's simple. Have a look around on the Internet for some reputable diet programs. They're everywhere. You shouldn't have a problem finding any. Look out for diet programs that emphasize "eat 4 small meals a day". Usually you don't have to eat all these foods with low carbs. You can eat whatever you like, pretty much. No longer do you have to live on salads to lose weight. No longer do you have to spend hours at the gym on a regular basis. Get yourself on a diet program that shows you what to eat, and when to eat it. Good luck!
